Today, the wife of the Ukrainian President, Marina Poroshenko, took part in ceremonial events marking the resumption of activities of the Ukrainian state enterprise “International Children's Center Artek.UA”.

“More than 300 children from all over Ukraine in Pushcha Voditsa became the first “Artek” residents who wrote a new page in the annals of the children’s center based on almost a century of history and traditions,” a message on the president’s website pompously notes.
According to Marina Poroshenko, it is very important that after the loss of Crimea, the Artek International Children's Center did not stop working and will now continue to work for Ukrainian children near Kiev.
“It is very symbolic that the first shift begins work under the name “Under the Flag of Dignity”, because for each of us an Artek resident is a child who professes such values as Peace, Friendship, Tolerance, patriotism and human dignity,” she said at the opening “Kyiv” “Artek”.
It is reported that People’s Artist of Ukraine, judge of the “Voice of the Country” show Alexander Ponomarev took part in the celebrations along with Poroshenko’s wife.
