The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Sergei Kvit stated this on Channel 5.
“This is a difficult problem. Financing universities through government orders is organizational nonsense. Nobody in the world can understand this. Our position is to stop financing higher education through government procurement. And this is no longer in the new draft law on education,” Kvit noted.
At the same time, the government order was not canceled this year.
“This year we have not canceled government orders anywhere. We proceeded from the principles of the level of the applicants themselves, as well as from the wishes of universities and their ratings,” says the minister.
