In Ukraine, the circulation of small coins - from 1 to 25 kopecks - will be canceled
The National Bank wants to abandon the minting of coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 25 kopecks, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

It is indicated that the NBU has already prepared a draft resolution “On optimizing the circulation of small denomination coins”, which provides for such a refusal.
The NBU reports that coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 kopecks have ceased to play a significant role in the population’s payments for goods and services. At the same time, coins with a nominal value of 25 kopecks, due to the lack of coins of 1, 2 and 5 kopecks, will not be exchanged for 10 kopecks.
At the same time, all these denominations of small change coins will continue to remain in circulation. However, in the future, cash circulation will not be replenished with additional issues of these denominations.
