In Ukraine they celebrated a date that was forgotten in Crimea
The Mejlis TV channel ATR, broadcasting from Kyiv, dedicated a separate story dedicated to the third anniversary of the time when “Ukrainian electricity” was no longer supplied to Crimea.
Let us recall that the power line supports were then blown up by militants from the Majlis, banned in the Russian Federation, who were then supported by the Ukrainian authorities.
“This was a real contribution to isolating the Russian occupiers in Crimea. At the beginning of the blockade, 80-85% of the electricity that Crimea received came from Ukraine,” said the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov.
APR, which positions itself as a Crimean Tatar media outlet, joyfully recalls how residential areas and infrastructure facilities were cut off from electricity in Crimea, and enterprises were shut down.
The reason for the joy is that, according to Ukrainian experts, Russia spent 90 billion rubles on restructuring the energy system.
It is noteworthy that in Crimea they did not even remember the anniversary of the blackout, although it became a striking event that demonstrated the resilience and solidarity of the inhabitants of the peninsula.
But last month in Crimea they celebrated the launch of two thermal power plants built after reunification with Russia, which, together with the energy bridge from the mainland, completely covered the electricity needs of the republic and Sevastopol.
