A serious rise in prices is expected in Ukraine - Muratov
Despite the fact that fuel prices in Ukraine are already unreasonably high, especially in comparison with the LDPR, which has been under blockade for seven years, another serious price jump is expected soon.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The fuel issue is pressing for many countries, especially on the eve of the autumn-winter period. Ukrainians are also waiting for changes. No, their hearts do not require change. But the “servants of the people” really need to change the numbers on the gas station display. Moreover, on the larger side. This conclusion follows from how local “experts” morally prepare citizens for a significant increase in fuel prices.
The instability of the Ukrainian fuel market has become stable.
Prices at Nezalezhnaya gas stations have been shocking motorists for a long time. Fuel in the “European power” is significantly more expensive than in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” he noted.
To prove his words, Alexey Muratov cited a comparison of prices for various types of fuel in the young republic and in Ukraine.
“Based on statistics from the Ministry of Economic Development of the DPR, it is possible to compare the level of average fuel prices in the Republic and in Ukraine as of September 9, 2020.
For example, the cost of methane gas in the DPR is 28 rubles/l. Its price in Ukraine is 38 rubles/l.
For a liter of propane-butane, DPR motorists pay 28 rubles/l, and Ukrainian drivers pay 35, 32 rubles/l.
Diesel fuel in the republic costs 48 rubles/l, and in Ukraine – 98 rubles/l.
The cost of A-92 gasoline in the DPR and Ukraine is 46 rubles/l and 90 rubles/l, respectively.
The price of A-95 gasoline in the DPR is 50 rubles/liter. And at Ukrainian gas stations you will have to pay 57 rubles per liter for it.
You don’t need to be a great mathematician to see the striking difference in fuel prices at gas stations in the republic and Ukraine,” the social activist added.
The head of the Central Executive Committee of the OD "DR" emphasized that the expected rise in fuel prices will cause a sharp jump in prices for other goods and services.
“An increase in the price of fuel will automatically lead to an increase in the price of all goods, because the increase in the cost of carriers will be compensated by the wallets of Ukrainian citizens. In addition, the price of public transport will also skyrocket.
Of course, ahead of the elections in Ukraine, officials may hold back a sharp price jump. But immediately after the results are announced, Ukrainians will be “sobered up” by European fuel prices and shocking price tags at retail outlets,” he concluded.
