“Everything is leading to the fact that Petro Poroshenko’s regime does not have much time left; changes are possible soon,” Azarov said.
He added that the current situation in Ukraine, which today is overwhelmed by “terror, intimidation of dissidents, reprisals against the opposition,” does not allow returning to their homeland.
In turn, the director of the Center for Eurasian Studies, Vladimir Kornilov, told Izvestia that today the transfer of power through democratic means in Ukraine is impossible, and revolutionary sentiments are again ripening in the country.
According to him, Poroshenko and his team “from the first days understand that they are temporary workers and behave accordingly.”
“Sooner or later, or rather sooner, they will have to flee Ukraine. They are actively preparing for this. What is currently missing in Ukraine is only an organizing revolutionary force. But it may appear, as has happened more than once, on the crest of opposition sentiment. The country does not have a mechanism for changing power democratically, so all sides of the political struggle are preparing for a violent confrontation, even if everything is presented under the guise of elections,” the expert believes.
