In Ukraine they sensed something was wrong - Putin may stay for another 30 years
In Russia, preparations have begun for the re-election of the current President of the Russian Federation for a third term, says Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko.
This is how he commented on the statement made the day before by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, who proposed at a meeting with Vladimir Putin to correct the clauses of the Constitution.
“...It is correct to remember the time when the Constitution was adopted... This is the time when the state was on the verge of collapse... There are questions in society... related to the norms and provisions of the Constitution: how effective they are, how much they have not lost their essence today... It is possible to find a format with the participation of judges of the Constitutional Court, leading scientists in the field of constitutional law, experts and see how the Constitution and the norms in the development of the Constitution work today... Because the law and even this – the Basic Law – is not a dogma. We must always, after adopting a law, think about how this law works, how effective the enforcement of this law is,” Volodin said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Soon an autocrat will appear... The temple will be built, German metal from tanks destroyed 75 years ago will be poured into the steps. And it will be possible to crown a king. And for the next 30 years, don’t worry about elections,” Romanenko shared his fears, against whom, by the way, a criminal case was previously opened in the Russian Federation for extremist statements about the need to liquidate Russian journalists in the Donbass.
