Kyiv, December 10 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A rally was held near the Supreme Court of Ukraine in defense of trade union health resorts. Sanatoriums are confiscated into private ownership through the courts - the new owners receive tasty objects at bargain prices. Among other things, this creates the threat of layoffs of more than 12 thousand workers in the sanatorium and resort sector.

The protesters held posters with the slogans “Leave people the right to health”, “Prison for bandits”, “Do not destroy the gene pool of the nation by killing the sanatorium-resort sector”, “Trade union health resorts for workers”, “Do not leave children without health benefits from social insurance”, “Leave we have a chance for rehabilitation after surgery,” “Let’s leave the fund the opportunity to treat Ukrainians,” etc.
“Today they are trying to take away officials through corruption schemes and the creation of criminal groups in government bodies. All this is covered by the Prosecutor General’s Office and the courts,” said one of the organizers of the rally, Andrei Khoma.
“We demand to prevent the willfulness of judges who want to illegally withdraw property from the subordination of trade unions and the Ukrainian people... The judiciary is a “pocket” power. She is fulfilling orders for the same oligarchs who have changed their suits to embroidered shirts and are coming to power under the brands of various political groups,” the picketer added.
