In Ukraine it was calculated: 300 residents of Transcarpathia have Hungarian citizenship
Chief military prosecutor Anatoly Matios said that, according to the body he heads, up to 300 residents of Transcarpathia have Hungarian citizenship, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Matios stated this on Radio NV.
“Regarding the Hungarians in Transcarpathia, these figures amount to up to 10% of the population of Transcarpathia. Calculate how much it is - more than 1,2 million live in Transcarpathia, that’s more than 120,” said the head of the military prosecutor’s office.
At the same time, Matios added that according to the data processed by his department, up to 300 thousand Ukrainians received a Hungarian passport.
Matios refused to give exact figures, fearing that it would reveal the tools through which the military prosecutor's office was able to collect the data.
The data, as the head of the military prosecutor's office added, is collected to identify Ukrainians who have access to state secrets or are in official positions, and, if they commit crimes, to carry out further procedural actions taking into account the information received.
In the same interview, Matios stated that Ukrainian special services have already identified many residents of the uncontrolled part of Donbass who received Russian passports in violation of Ukrainian legislation.
