During 2016, Ukraine imported hard coal and anthracite in monetary terms totaling $1,47 billion, which is 9,8% less than the previous year.

According to the State Fiscal Service, last year Ukraine purchased coal from Russia for a total amount of $906,3 million, the USA – for $212,1 million, Canada – for $94,4 million and other countries – for $254,3 million
It is worth noting, according to the fiscal service, last year Ukraine also exported coal for a total amount of $44,8 million.
Let us recall that during 2015 Ukraine purchased anthracite and hard coal for a total amount of $1,63 billion.
