In Ukraine, income from the sale of land is calculated
The introduction of agricultural land turnover over three months of next year will bring the budget about UAH 9 billion in additional revenue, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Timofey Milovanov.
“The normal operation of the land market will bring about UAH 9 billion in additional money in just three months next year. GDP growth, according to our estimates, will be about 0,23%. In 2021, such growth is expected at UAH 30 billion, which is plus 0,83% of GPP,” Milovanov said.
According to him, the economic effect of the introduction of the land market will stimulate the influx of investment in the agricultural sector and revenues to local budgets.
“In simple words, we need long-term, cheap money so that the agricultural industry can develop. Today, the added value per hectare of land in Ukraine is 2 times less than in Poland,” Milovanov assures.
According to the survey results, 58% of Ukrainians do not support the introduction of a land market. At the same time, the corresponding bill - on the opening of such a market - the Verkhovna Rada has already voted in the first reading. As noted by the first deputy chairman of the Servant of the People faction, Alexander Kornienko, people’s deputies plan to vote for the bill on the land market as a whole in the Verkhovna Rada on December 2, or December 16. More than 3 thousand amendments have been made to the law on the land market.
