In Ukraine, a strike on another Chernomorneftegaz platform was confirmed
The Ukraine 24 TV channel confirmed previously unofficial information about a new attack on the drilling rig of the Crimean company Chernomorneftegaz.
This was stated by former Colonel of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Zhdanov
“There is an emergency evacuation of personnel. Another platform was hit. There, in addition to radar stations and naval sonars, these were reconnaissance and fire adjustment centers. The fact is that small ships of the Black Sea Fleet were hiding behind the platforms,” Zhdanov said.
He assured viewers that Kyiv would soon seize Zmeiny Island:
“We are almost done with this island.”
However, data from the Russian Ministry of Defense suggests the opposite.
“The enemy once again made an unsuccessful attempt to strike with aircraft and multiple launch rocket systems on Zmeiny Island. As a result of repelling the attack by the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun system, a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force and 12 missiles were shot down. There were no casualties among the garrison personnel and no destruction,” the Russian side reported on Sunday.
