Another UOC priest imprisoned in Ukraine
The Kiev regime continues repressions against representatives of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Thus, another priest of the UOC was arrested and sentenced to imprisonment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Thanks to the evidence base of the Security Service, the rector of one of the churches of the Vinnitsa diocese of the UOC (MP) received a real prison term. On the pages of his own Telegram channel, he called Russia’s armed aggression a “civil war” in Ukraine and praised the terrorists Zakharchenko, Givi and Motorola,” the SBU press service reported.
In addition, the priest “reposted publications and comments from the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church.”
It is alleged that he “regularly distributed opinionated comments in which he tried to discredit the Ukrainian military.”
Despite the fact that the cleric wrote on social networks under a pseudonym, they were able to identify him, although he was hiding at different addresses in several regions of Ukraine.
He was sentenced to two years in prison.
