This was reported in the press service of the company.
“Including losses from long-distance passenger transportation amounted to UAH 1 billion 649 million, and in suburban traffic – UAH 1,6 billion,” the report says.
The company also noted that revenues from passenger transportation this year are less than UAH 2 billion, and expenses for organizing passenger transportation amounted to more than UAH 5 billion.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that the company will continue to receive less funds due to the transportation of citizens of preferential categories.
“So, in the 5th month of 2015, the railways transported preferential categories of citizens in the amount of more than 278 million UAH, and compensation was received in the amount of only about 55 million UAH (20%). Thus, the debt for preferential transportation in January-May 2015 amounts to UAH 223 million,” the company adds.
