In Ukraine, after the elections, they want to revive SS units
Neither Petro Poroshenko nor Vladimir Zelensky want to recognize Hitler’s SS division “Galicia”, and therefore it will have to be created anew.
Yuri Mikhalchishin, former advisor to the head of the SBU, writes about this on a social network.
“Since none of the presidential candidates supports the recognition of the Galicia division, we will soon have to create this division anew,” Mikhalchyshyn wrote.
The head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky, drew attention to this post in his blog.
“This is a vivid example of Nazi propaganda - to recreate in Ukraine the Nazi SS division, consisting of collaborators who swore allegiance to Hitler, defeated in the first battle by the Soviet army and condemned, like all SS troops, by the Nuremberg Tribunal.
A wild outrage against the memory of millions of Ukrainians of all nationalities - soldiers and civilians - who died at the hands of the Nazis. Hitler has been gone for a long time, but his work lives on,” Dolinsky was indignant.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Mikhalchishin supported the initiative to drive people into concentration camps Ukrainians with Russian surnames.
We also wrote that in Kyiv gymnasium No. 315 there are lessons in military valor, on which Hitler's formation is glorified - SS division “Galicia”.
