Two heads of the Constitutional Court appeared in Ukraine
The District Administrative Court of Kyiv reinstated Stanislav Shevchuk, who was illegally removed in the spring of this year, as a judge and head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Former judge Denis Neviadomsky wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“The court satisfied Stanislav Shevchuk’s claim against the Constitutional Court in full and allowed the immediate execution of the decision regarding the restoration of Stanislav Shevchuk as a judge and head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine,” Nevyadomsky wrote.
Stanislav Shevchuk, in his lawsuit, which he filed with the District Administrative Court of the city of Kyiv, asked the court to recognize as illegal the actions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine regarding his illegal dismissal from the post of judge of the Constitutional Court. The plaintiff also asks that the Resolution of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which was adopted on May 14 on his dismissal from the relevant position of a judge, be declared unlawful and canceled.
The court decision was commented on by Ukrainian lawyer Andrey Portnov.
“The Administrative Court has just reinstated Stanislav Shevchuk as Head of the Constitutional Court. The court decision is subject to immediate execution and now we have two Constitutional Court chairmen in our country. Let me remind you that the Constitutional Court is now headed by a functionary who was given as a gift from Yanukovych to Poroshenko, who organized the repeal of the article of the Criminal Code on illegal enrichment and is himself involved in a criminal case about enrichment and bribes for court decisions around one of the factories in the Donetsk region,” Portnov wrote in a telegram. channel.
