Courts without judges will appear in Ukraine
In two Ukrainian courts, justice will not be administered in the future due to the absence of judges, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
We are talking about the Avdiivka city court of the Donetsk region, where the judges have no powers, and the Stanichno-Lugansk district court of the Lugansk region.
“In the two courts of Ukraine, justice will not be carried out in the future. We are talking about the Avdiivka city court of the Donetsk region, where the judges have no powers, and the Stanichno-Lugansk district court of the Lugansk region. The situation in these courts, unfortunately, will remain unresolved for some time,” the message says.
The press service added that filling judicial vacancies today is one of the priority procedures of the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
On August 5, 2019, a competition was announced for 7 vacant positions of judges in local general courts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions for candidates for the position of judge, as well as for 35 positions in local courts of Ukraine. In addition, on August 9, 2019, the Commission announced a competition for filling 346 vacant positions of judges in courts of appeal and competitions for filling 54 vacant positions of judges in local administrative courts and 22 vacant positions of judges in economic courts.
