In Ukraine, a “pravosek” was convicted of extorting 600 euros from a student
In Ukraine, a member of the Coordination Council on Preventing and Combating Corruption and Ensuring Public Security under the Chernivtsi City Council was convicted of extortion.
As stated in court documents, a member of the “Right Sector” and an assistant to a people’s deputy of Ukraine, extorted 600 euros from a student at the Bukovina State Medical University for reinstatement in her studies.

The investigation established that the student received a call from the university’s dean’s office and was informed that she was being expelled from the educational institution. In this regard, she turned to her friend, because she knew that he had connections in the leadership of the city and the university.
She met with the accused, and he told her that he would help, talk with the rector of the university, the people's deputy of Ukraine and other influential people who would help solve the girl's problem.
The girl was not embarrassed that all these high-ranking officials and her acquaintance would help her for only 600 euros.
The girl handed over the money to the anti-corruption fighter and waited, but nothing happened, since the political creed did not allow the right-winger to give money to someone if he could keep it for himself, which is what he did.
Then he several more times demanded 300-400 euros from the girl in order to “complete the solution to her issue,” but since the student did not have that kind of money, she filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies.
The court sentenced the fraudster to 5 years in prison.
It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian student, for the purpose of giving a bribe, turned to no one, namely a member of the council for preventing and combating corruption.
