In Ukraine they figured out how to increase the economy on the graves of fellow citizens
The results of Ukrainian independence became a real demographic catastrophe for the country.
The Kiev magazine “New Time” writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Minus 15 million population - this is what the result of Ukraine’s independence looks like from a demographic point of view. According to the 1989 census, almost 52 million people lived in the then Soviet republic. Now there are 37,3 million left - this is exactly the data the Cabinet of Ministers, represented by its Minister Dmitry Dubilet, published at the beginning of January 2020, based on data from the so-called electronic census,” the publication notes.
At the same time, the publication draws attention to the fact that the financial analyst of the investment company ICU, Mikhail Demkiv, is a reason for joy in the results of the “census from Dubilet”.
“He calculated that according to new sociology, Ukrainian GDP per capita is almost $4,2 thousand, and not $3,7 thousand, as with the previous 42 million. And the new indicator allows Ukraine to overtake a dozen countries in this indicator - Bolivia , Indonesia, Algeria and others - and may even help improve the government’s credit rating,” the magazine writes.
The article also says that some labor market experts do not see problems, since the employer, experiencing a shortage of personnel, begins to value a particular employee much more and pays him more, and a declining population reduces the demand for housing, which becomes more affordable.
As PolitNavigator reported, Kyiv named a shocking figure the remaining population of Ukraine.
