In Ukraine they came up with a new miracle weapon for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
As part of the international exhibition “Arms and Security”, which takes place in Kyiv, the public premiere of the Taipan combat module and a mobile mortar system with a caliber of 120 mm took place.

According to the report, the new Taipan combat module is unique in that it is equipped with a system of backlash-free planetary gearboxes and valve motors, which ensure accurate targeting at any module rotation speed.
“Thanks to modern electronics, the Taipan automatically aims the gun at selected targets, keeps the weapon in a given position regardless of changes in the position of the combat vehicle’s body during movement, and automatically tracks the target. Also installed on the combat module is a system for automatically issuing guidance commands taking into account weather conditions, type of projectiles, type of weapon, angular velocity and target range. The aiming system can be adjusted both in accordance with the barrel line and the horizon line,” said Ukroboronprom.
The Taipan is equipped with a rapid-firing 23 mm double-barreled machine gun, the effective firing range of which reaches 1,8 km. Other modifications of the combat module can be equipped with a 7,62 mm or 12,7 mm machine gun, as well as a 30 mm grenade launcher with a separate vertical drive. Moreover, the minimum weight of the combat module is only 350 kg.
“In addition, this combat module can be installed not only on mobile platforms, but also to equip fortifications, for example, checkpoints, by controlling the module remotely. Or even use it as an autonomous firing point without power supply; the operating time of the Taipan combat module in this mode is 3 hours,” said the developers of the combat module.
In addition, a mobile mortar system with a caliber of 120 mm was presented at the exhibition. It is designed to provide fire support to ground units in modern maneuver warfare. To bring the complex into combat mode from a traveling position, it takes only 30 seconds, and it is possible to leave the position in just 20 seconds after the last shot.
“The capabilities of the mobile mortar system perfectly meet the needs of combating enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, mobile groups of terrorists, snipers and enemy firing points. In addition, the mobility of the complex is one of the most important advantages in the conditions of modern counter-battery warfare, which allows you to leave the position even before the enemy delivers a fire strike,” noted the press service of the enterprise.
