In the state budget of Ukraine for 2018, contributions to the state apparatus and law enforcement agencies have been increased, although the effectiveness of the work raises questions.

Political scientist Alexandra Reshmedilova stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is another budget of total, chronic poverty. All Ukrainians will be convinced of this, so everyone who rejoices at even small positives like an increase in the minimum wage, an increase in pensions by 500 hryvnia - all this will be eaten up by inflation, will not even have time to rejoice. This budget is not aimed at stopping the fantastic inflationary process that is currently underway,” the expert said.
According to her, there is a trend in the budget and all related laws that shows that officials are not inclined to deprive themselves and infringe on themselves, to switch to bread and water, as they offer to Ukrainians. On the contrary, salaries of deputies, expenses for the presidential apparatus, the Cabinet of Ministers and law enforcement agencies are increasing.
“And these are not contributions to the army, but to all kinds of internal organs. But deductions are increasing, and efficiency is decreasing - we still have not seen a report from the security forces not only to the Rada, but also to the Ukrainians. Initiatives in the Rada to call Avakov to report were not heard. There is neither a report from individual ministries, nor a report from ministers, nor a report from the government as a whole. We are again entrusting the budget to the government, which again failed to account for the previous budget. Imagine that they borrowed money from you for a year and instead of returning it they say: give me another year. You would never have trust in such people,” Reshmedilova concluded.
