The publication notes that, despite the propaganda, people in Ukraine are tired of the war in Donbass, but the “political-oligarchic class that got rich from it would most likely find itself in a difficult situation, faced with the need to abandon it.”
“Neo-Nazi groups in the country have enough people, skills and weapons. The state security system has repeatedly demonstrated its inability to fully control them. The merger (if not coexistence) of neo-Nazi groups and criminal organizations gives the former a very significant potential both at the military level and at the political level. Last year, for example, the founder of the neo-Nazi group Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, was appointed advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. In October, the heads of the neo-Nazi Azov battalion founded the National Corps party, subordinate to the battalion commander Andrei Biletsky,” notes Limes.
At the same time, the publication states that the suspension of military operations under the conditions “on which Moscow and the rebels in the Donbass insist” would most likely “knock the ground out from under the feet of the team of oligarchs led by President Poroshenko.”
