In Ukraine they are happy that they left Crimea without water and threaten to drown the peninsula with drought

In the Kherson region, the construction of a dam has been completed, blocking the water supply through the North Crimean Canal to the territory of the Russian peninsula. Maidan of Foreign Affairs expert, former Crimean resident Andrei Klimenko stated this in his blog.

Construction of the dam has been underway since 2014, when Ukraine cut off the water supply.

“Symbolic. This is the gateway to Crimea. On the one hand, in the Kherson region, they are wet, on the other, on the side of the occupied Crimea, they are dry. And they will be dry until the end of the occupation,” Klimenko threatens. – For those not in the know, this is a dam in the North Crimean Canal that blocks the water supply to Crimea. Previously, instead of it there were bags of sand... And although the canal is called North Crimean, it runs through the entire Kherson region from Kakhovka to Crimea, more than 100 km and irrigates almost half of its area. Approximately 1/5 of the NCC runoff is consumed in the Kherson region. Then there’s the dam.”

As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine fulfilled its threat and turned off the water to half of Lugansk.
