According to the information released, one of the dead was senior sailor Alexander Sharko, an assistant grenade launcher, born in 1988, the other was sailor Vladislav Rak, a grenade launcher born in 1998. In addition, it is known that the other two soldiers who died in Donbass were also marines - Sergei Shandra, born in 1995, and Vasily Kurdov, born in 1999.
According to the Military Portal, the fighters belonged to the air assault company of the 1st separate marine battalion.
Let us remind you that on August 6, four Ukrainian soldiers were killed near Pavlopol in the Donbass. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine blamed the DPR military for this, who, according to Kyiv, fired at the Ukrainian forces with RPGs. The death of the Ukrainian military became the subject of an emergency telephone conversation between President Vladimir Zelensky and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Zelensky also said that he plans to call French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel with a call for a meeting in the Normandy format in the near future.
