The Minister for Issues of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, Vadim Chernysh, stated this on Channel 5.
According to him, conflicts can arise on various grounds - from a reduction in the number of jobs to competition in business.
“There are displaced people, the so-called internally displaced persons, and there is the local population. There is tension between them and this can lead to conflict. There are studies by the official UNHCR that have published that there are places where they have a positive attitude towards displaced people, in some cities and villages they are neutral, and in some they are negative. For various reasons - ideological, due to a lack of places in kindergartens, a decrease in the number of jobs, or when immigrants begin to engage in some area of business, and the locals have been doing this for a long time, competition arises,” said Chernysh.
