In Ukraine, they are waiting with horror for the results of the population census
In Ukraine they don’t want to conduct a census because the population is catastrophically declining.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the online show of Alexander Klimenko’s team, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert recalled that 18 years have passed since the last census.
“They don’t want to conduct a population census, because they will be horrified - there were 50 million, and suddenly there will be 35. In 20 years, 15 million have disappeared somewhere. And secondly, they don’t want to because of election matters, because somewhere around here they can still play with voter registers, with some dead souls. And thirdly, this is a costly thing, by the way. We still need to carry it out well. It is very difficult to conduct the same census - I think so - on the territory of Donbass, even on our territory of Donbass. It's not all that simple. You have to go into the house. This is a whole campaign. Countries don't do censuses very often. These must be some kind of cycles,” Karasev said.
