Five IMF tranches burned in Ukraine
Over the past few years, Ukraine has lost an amount equal to several IMF tranches due to explosions of ammunition depots.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Senchenko stated this on the Guildhall Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the country’s budget lost a billion dollars in the last fire at the arsenal in Ichnya alone.
“The country lost ammunition from this arsenal in an amount equal to the last tranche of the IMF. That is, approximately a billion dollars. 117 thousand rockets for the Grad multiple launch rocket system worth approximately $250 million, 22 thousand rounds for a tank worth approximately $30 million, 637 million machine gun cartridges worth approximately $300 million.
And so on and so forth. That is, we lost a billion dollars worth of ammunition there. And during the entire war, in such events, in arsenals where appropriate storage of ammunition was not ensured, we lost approximately up to five billion dollars,” Senchenko said.
