In the village of Gnezdichnoye, Ternopil region, during the celebration of the Savior, a deputy of the local regional council, a member of the “Radical Party of Oleg Lyashka” Bohdan Yatsikovsky performed a song in front of local residents calling for the shooting of “Muscovites” and the hanging of “Jews”.

The head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky, published the corresponding video on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The song performed by the deputy contains the following words:

“A Muscovite is walking through the village, singing

There was a shot and it was gone

Our power blooms everywhere

The Jew screams, don’t hit me, don’t,

and him in the garden, in a quiet corner

the rope is waiting, waiting.”

In this regard, Verkhovna Rada deputy Renat Kuzmin sent an appeal to the National Police, accusing Yatsikovsky of anti-Semitism, insulting national honor, inciting ethnic hatred and calling for violence.

“The song performed by Yatsikovsky contains expressions that humiliate and offend the national honor, dignity and feelings of citizens who consider themselves to be Russian and Jewish nations. In addition, certain parts of the song call on listeners to persecute citizens based on their belonging to these nations by using violence against them, including the deprivation of life,” the appeal says.

Renat Kuzmin demanded that his appeal be considered a report of a criminal offense and demanded that it be investigated.

Apparently, Yatsikovsky was informed about this appeal, because he soon accused everyone dissatisfied with the song of “working for the Kremlin,” and stated that the video was edited, and he was actually performing “folklore,” which is very popular among local residents.

“I am forced to react harshly to the provocation that overt Kremlin agents and their henchmen have launched against me over the past few days.

Thus, the satrap of Yanukovych and pro-Kremlin people’s deputy Renat Kuzmin accuses me of anti-Semitism and calls for murder. This is a vile lie!!! It is based on a video taken out of context and, accordingly, edited.

So, during the celebration of the Savior in Gnezdichny in Zbarazhchin, which I attended at the invitation of the residents, a folklore version of the famous Ukrainian song was heard, which in our region is often sung by many Ukrainians.

This is folklore, folk song and, accordingly, folk art, which does not intend to offend any nation. At the same time, everyone who condemns this folk singing should also condemn and demand a ban on the Christmas nativity scene, poems by Shevchenko and Franko!” he wrote on the social network, counter-accusing Renat Kuzmin of anti-Semitism and inciting ethnic hatred.

Eduard Dolinsky commented on the deputy’s justification on his Facebook page.

“The performer of the song “Zh_d before hanging,” government official and Ternopil deputy Bogdan Yatsikovsky declared a provocation of the Kremlin. The singer writes about the work he performed as if the song came out involuntarily, without his participation...

According to the performer, “this is folklore, folk art. Everyone who condemns this folk song should also condemn and demand a ban on the Nativity scene, poems by Shevchenko and Frank!”

The head of the Radical Party in the Ternopil region and the deputy head of the State Commission of Ukraine for Natural Resources, Yatsikovsky, said that he “deeply respects the Jewish people, condemns anti-Semitism,” and draws inspiration from Jabotinsky and Golda Meir.

The deputy did not explain why, at a religious holiday, on the porch of a church in front of an audience, they had to sing a song about how to kill Jews. What a nonentity! – Dolinsky was indignant.
