About it reports the Ukrainian publication ain.ua.
It is reported that the developers intend to officially introduce the autopilot in October 2016. Pilotdrive is an unmanned vehicle control system that can be equipped in any car. The software part was developed entirely by Ukrainian engineers, the hardware part was purchased abroad.
“Pilotdrive uses cameras, sensors, radars and a thermal imager for orientation, and also recognizes road markings, road width, and navigates off-road conditions. Pilotdrive sensors have 360-degree coverage, sensor systems recognize road signs, pedestrians and animals on the roadway,” the publication says.
They intend to present the working system in October at the “Arms and Security 2016” exhibition in Kyiv. For this purpose, a demonstration model of Spartan was created on the basis of the KRAZ vehicle, which will demonstrate to the public the capabilities of the Ukrainian autopilot.
