Social anger has accumulated in Ukraine, comparable to 2013 - expert
Ukrainian society is greatly disappointed by the cynicism and deception of expectations from the current government and is ready to self-organize for new large-scale protests.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are again on the verge of a “rake” that we know well - the next social upheaval. Now there are events outside the windows that are very reminiscent of the events of the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013 with the resonant events in Vradievka, which have already become a household name - “Vradievsky syndrome”. This is a protest self-organization of people who become not just active, but actively aggressive, persistent and quickly self-organize.
Now these protests are connected not only with economic difficulties - we have problems with utility tariffs, and the consequences of lockdowns - but, which is not unimportant and often underestimated, with social psychology. Well, you can’t treat people like that, so blatantly deceive their expectations, so cynically play with their hopes.
This power really had many advantages that distinguished it from all previous ones - both in terms of generation, and in terms of behavior and promises. No previous government could boast of such a set of positive traits that society endowed it with. Now we have not just a rollback, but a rollback that is aggressive in behavior and confused in terms of explaining what is happening to us,” concluded Andrei Ermolaev.
