An army of 10 unemployed former ATO militants has formed in Ukraine
As of December 1 of this year, the number of unemployed ex-ATO fighters was 9,6 thousand people, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the State Employment Service of Ukraine.
In total, during the so-called “ATO”, 71,9 thousand demobilized militants applied to employment centers.
During January-November 2017, the number of recipients of Employment Service services among demobilized ATO participants was 42,2 thousand people. In 2017, 11 thousand ATO participants were employed through the employment service.
The Employment Service reported problems in finding employment for this category of citizens: low motivation to work and refusal of vacancies with low wages. Thus, the average amount of unemployment benefits for such persons is 3890 UAH, while the average amount of benefits for all categories of unemployed is 2182 UAH.
Many of the clients in this category become entrepreneurs. As of December 1, almost 500 ex-ATO fighters (almost 50 of them with disabilities) received unemployment benefits at a time to start their own business.
On average in Ukraine, the share of ex-ATO fighters among all registered unemployed as of December 1 was 3%, the highest in Vinnitsa, Khmelnytsky and Volyn regions - 5%.
