In Ukraine, the number of vocational schools will be reduced from 1400 to 120. Factories are closing, workers no longer need to be trained
Instead of 1 thousand 400 vocational education institutions in the country, training workers for industry, there should be from 50 to a maximum of 120 regional vocational education centers. This is the essence of the vocational education reform being prepared in Ukraine.

The law “On Vocational Education” will soon be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which provides for a significant reduction in vocational education institutions.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oleg Derevyanko announced this during a round table, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to him, a significant reduction is planned, because “our current vocational education is structurally built under that Soviet economic system.”
It is clear that in a situation of accelerated deindustrialization, when the industrial giants remaining from “that Soviet economic system” are closing, the agricultural country no longer needs so many skilled workers. And there is someone to bend their backs in the fields.
Let us recall that in Ukraine the state order at universities in 2015 was reduced by 10-12% compared to 2014.
