Europe has ceased to be interested in Ukraine. Political scientist Alexei Valevsky stated this on the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne.

“What should worry us: the Ukrainian issue (and the war in Donbass, and the country’s economy) is gradually leaving the EU agenda and is not a priority. The number one task of our diplomacy is to constantly remind our European partners that for the EU, Ukraine should also be one of the priorities in 2018,” Walevsky said.
He recalled that the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini recently voiced the priorities of the European Union without mentioning Ukraine. The political scientist also believes that Angela Merkel supports the recent statement by German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel, who did not approve the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine.
