In Ukraine, a Serb from the Sevastopol Self-Defense was informed of suspicion
The Ukrainian prosecutor's office of the non-existent Autonomous Republic of Crimea reported suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to a Serbian citizen who took part in the activities of the “Self-Defense of Sevastopol,” a PolyTnavigator correspondent reports.
The website of the Ukrainian department reports this.
“During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that during February-March 2014, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, being an intelligence officer of the illegal armed formation of the NORTH WIND reconnaissance group, which was part of the Sevastopol Self-Defense, helped the occupation authorities to establish control over strategic objects of the Republic of Azerbaijan Crimea, power lines and gas pipeline points near the city of Sevastopol, carried out so-called patrolling of the city of Sevastopol,” the message says.
The department also added that a citizen is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven legally and established by a court conviction (Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine).
