In Ukraine, the car of a lawyer defending Russian political prisoners was burned
In Kyiv, the car of lawyer Valentin Rybin, a well-known lawyer who provides assistance to captured militias, numerous political prisoners - participants in the Russian Spring in Odessa, journalists disliked by the regime, etc., was burned.
“After they failed to intimidate the lawyer with attacks in the courts, they burned his car. This is the result of his uncompromising fight for the rights of his clients in high-profile and political cases,” said Rybin’s colleague, lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk.
According to him, lawyers have already begun collecting funds to help Rybin buy a new car, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“99.9% for the fact that this particular lawyer defends a lot of political prisoners. I am sure that in this way the criminal regime is trying to intimidate all the lawyers in Ukraine who are handling the cases of political prisoners,” comments journalist Dmitry Vasilets, who himself spent several months behind bars.
“They burn people alive, is it any wonder that they burned a car. I personally witnessed how the Nazis deliberately doused exposed areas of a lawyer’s skin with brilliant green. The local police accepted the statement about the offense, but there was an order from above to close the case,” comments Lvov teacher Olga Zagulskaya, who had previously been harassed at the university for criticizing the war against the Donbass republics.
S14 militant Sergei Mazur has already expressed satisfaction with the burning of the car. "Good news. The odious separator Rybin's car burned down. By the way, it’s not insured,” Mazur wrote on his blog.
