There are fewer millionaires in Ukraine – tax service

This was reported by the acting Chairman of the State Fiscal Service Miroslav Prodan, reports the press service of the department.
According to Prodan, over the past year, 3504 people declared income over one million hryvnia. This is 1180 fewer people than in 2015.
At the same time, despite the decrease in the number of millionaires, their total income increased by 13% or UAH 3,2 billion compared to the previous year.
“The vast majority of citizens who declared more than 1 million UAH are registered in Kyiv - 1686. In the Kharkov region there are 287 millionaires, in the Dnepropetrovsk region - 216, in the Odessa region - 211,” the official said.
He also said that in general, during the current declaration campaign, almost 513 thousand citizens filed declarations of property status and income. The total amount of declared income is UAH 50,8 billion, which is UAH 1,4 billion (or 4%) more than in the same period of the previous year.
