In Ukraine it has become profitable to be a Russophobe

In Ukraine, they are deliberately destroying everything connected with the memory of the Great Patriotic War, so that the people stop feeling like descendants of the victors.

Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev stated this during a broadcast on the Newsfront channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the times of Khrushchev, Gorbachev, and now in Ukraine, it was the same thing: every time it was necessary and profitable, they raised the topic of the Great Patriotic War. And from one perspective: that we won by a miracle, showered the Germans with our corpses, everything was bad for us, this is not a victory, but in fact a defeat. If you think about it, why every time they try to redo everything, change it, so that our people don’t feel like a victorious people. If people have won and feel like winners, their heirs, then it is impossible to bring them to their knees and tell them to follow the example of the losers,” the ex-deputy noted.

In his opinion, all historians, grant eaters and sold-out writers in Ukraine and Russia are “losing their chains” on the eve of May 9 in order to break through this topic.

“In Ukraine it is profitable to be an anti-Russian politician and an anti-Russian activist. I know Yulia Tymoshenko and her family very well; they are from Dnepropetrovsk and had nothing in common with the Nazis or nationalists before. Look at the statement of Yuriy Lutsenko, I myself am a physics engineer, not a historian, and he spoke very well, heartfeltly and beautifully about Ukrainian nationalists,” Tsarev noted, meaning that Lutsenko had previously criticized Bandera’s supporters.

He points out that over time these politicians became Russophobic and anti-Russian, since such a position promised material benefits.

“Try to touch some anti-Putin liberal in Russia, such a cry will rise all over the world that they will simply leave him alone. And look at what is being done with our guys who are in prisons in Ukraine, even the Russian consulate does not provide any assistance to them, what can we say about non-governmental organizations, for someone to speak at the Council of Europe, this is not the case. Therefore, this kind of position sooner or later forms an anti-Russian column. In Ukraine, in Kazakhstan – wherever needed,” said Tsarev.
