This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
“Motorcycle, car and bus first aid kits must be equipped with first aid equipment in case of an accident and must not contain any medications. The corresponding draft order was prepared by the Ministry of Health and submitted for approval,” the statement says.
The new first aid kit will contain instructions on how to provide first aid in case of accidents and the necessary equipment for this. But there will be no medicines in it, since they have an expiration date, are often not updated by drivers and will not be useful when providing emergency assistance by non-specialists.
“According to statistics, the cause of approximately 80% of deaths as a result of an accident before the arrival of an emergency (ambulance) medical team is massive bleeding. Therefore, the minimum kit of a first aid kit will first of all include the necessary means to stop bleeding,” the department adds.
The contents of the first aid kit were last reviewed 20 years ago.
