In Ukraine they are celebrating: “Hymars” defeated the vaunted Russian air defense
The American Haymars MLRS delivered to Ukraine won a convincing victory in the confrontation with Russian air defense.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is expressed by military expert, head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation Sergei Kuzan.
“American weapons showed a high class and defeated all the laudatory reports that the Russians used to address their S-300, S-400 that they are invincible. And under this brand they sold [the complexes] all over the world. I think that no one else in the world will buy these anti-missile systems, and those who bought them will greatly regret it,” the expert said on NV radio.
He believes that in the coming years Russia will not be able to effectively fight these MLRS.
“It turned out that HIMARS can reach the S-300, S-400 complexes, which were designed to shoot down an American missile similar to the one that flies from the HIMARS launcher. Today panic has really begun in Russia. And there are even absurd demands that “we urgently need to develop some kind of counteraction to these missiles.” Obviously, such developments take years,” the expert noted.
It is worth recognizing that the “Hymars” really showed their effectiveness. Particularly tonight the air defense arsenal was hit in the industrial zone of Lugansk.

Let us note that over the past week this is not the first arsenal destroyed by Ukrainian formations deep in the rear of the LPR and DPR. As a rule, during such attacks, high-precision and long-range MLRS "Hymars" supplied from the United States are used. Missiles from these installations are guided by satellite, and so far the Russian Armed Forces have not found an effective way to combat them.
However, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that Russian strikes destroyed two installations "Hymars", but no supporting photos or videos were provided.
