In Ukraine, the tourism market has collapsed by 80% due to the crisis
Kyiv, March 30 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Low-cost airlines are leaving the Ukrainian air transportation market, and this will lead to a reduction in offers and an increase in ticket prices, says Olga Beilina, deputy director of the travel company “The Whole World”.

“UIA is becoming a monopolist in the market; few can compete with it. Passengers will be forced to change trains. We are returning to the situation 15-20 years ago, when air travel was a luxury for people with above-average incomes. Only the very wealthy will be able to use air transportation; the rest will be content with either domestic tourism or relaxing in the country, as was the case in the USSR.
Travel agencies are closing, our market has declined by 80%. Charter traffic has fallen. If earlier there were 20-30 charter flights to Antalya per week, now there are 7-10.
The variety of offers that existed a couple of years ago no longer exists. We are returning to the sales volumes of 15 years ago, when flights to Barcelona, Antalya and Egypt were key. We cannot now offer either Naples, Capri, or Bali. These were very interesting directions, accessible even to the middle class, but they will no longer exist,” says Olga Beilina.
