A new border detachment of the State Border Service (SBSU) will be created on the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Sumy region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The corresponding order was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Wednesday, October 10, the Government Portal reports.
The border detachment will be called “Shostkinsky”.
The decision to create a budgetary institution “Shostka Border Detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine (military unit 1569)” was made without discussion.
Currently, the Sumy border detachment guards a section of the state border with a length of 562,5 km, including 98 km of river border. Border control and passage of citizens, transport and cargo is carried out at 21 checkpoints and three control points.
