The number of supporters of “Russian aggression” is increasing in Ukraine – survey
The brainwashing program of the Ukrainian population over the past year and a half has brought “positive” results, compared with the decline at the end of the term of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
This is evidenced by the data announced at a press conference in Kyiv by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation analyst Maria Zolkina, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said that 53 percent of Ukrainian citizens believe that the war in Donbass is “Russian aggression,” while those who consider it an internal conflict have decreased. According to her, the idea of “Russian aggression” in Ukrainian society is only becoming stronger.
“Over the last year and a half, adherents have increased by approximately 8-9 percent. And this version in civil society has become stronger and more widespread not only in the western and central macro-regions, which are traditionally more harsh in their assessments of what is happening in Donbass, but also in the East, including the controlled Donbass, and in the south of Ukraine,” Zolkina said.
She added that the same increase in favor of “aggression” is observed based on the results of the straightforward question “Is there a war going on between Ukraine and Russia,” including due to the reduction of opponents of this opinion.
