Chairman of the Bureau of Comprehensive Analysis and Forecasts Sergei Dyachenko stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, however, there is an option that after this period the West will lift sanctions on Russia and it will be able to order service from Siemens specialists.
“Siemens has already announced this option - it will not service these turbines. This is not the best option for work, since they will work for two or three years and problems will begin... You can find specialists there, but it depends on what goes wrong. Components, spare parts - all of these can cause problems. But a situation may arise - these turbines are reliable, they can hope that they will work for a long time... There may be hope that they will install the turbines, work for two or three years, and then, perhaps, the sanctions will be lifted,” Dyachenko said.
