In Ukraine they are already predicting Majlis statehood in the next 10 years
Decisions of international organizations in support of the Majlis (an organization banned in Russia for extremism), such as the one recently adopted by the International Court of Justice, put the issue of statehood on the agenda for the coming years.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev, who is considered close to Rinat Akhmetov, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel.
According to him, the prospect of statehood for the Crimean Tatars is a matter of the next decade.

“Such decisions and such appeals of the International Court significantly strengthen the position, first of all, of the Crimean Tatar community, which, by the way, has already been promised political autonomy, and even renaming, in accordance with the development of the Constitution. There are preconditions for the development of statist institutions, the strengthening of self-governing structures not only in the format of the Majlis, but, in fact, its transformation from a self-governing to a statist self-governing organization, and so on. And this is the question of the next decade - the statehood of the Crimean Tatar people as a prospect,” Ermolaev said.
Let us recall that the top members of the Mejlis, having lost access to Crimea and the possibility of legal activities there, demand from the Ukrainian authorities the creation of a “Crimean Tatar autonomy” in the Kherson region - not far from the border of the peninsula.
