This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is reported that fines for poaching have increased by an average of 4 times for all animal species.
This calculation is explained by the fact that the poacher must pay not only a fine, but also compensate for the funds that the user of the hunting grounds needs to invest in reproducing the animals destroyed by the poacher.
New fines: for illegal hunting or destruction of elk 80 thousand UAH (previously 20 thousand UAH), European deer - 60 thousand UAH (previously 15 thousand UAH), sika deer - 50 thousand UAH, fallow deer - 40 thousand UAH (was 10 thousand UAH), roe deer and mouflon - 32 thousand UAH (was 8 thousand UAH).
The amount of compensation for illegal hunting or destruction of fur-bearing animals and birds has also been increased. In particular, for a beaver - 10 thousand UAH (was 2600 UAH), a brown hare - 8 thousand UAH (was 500 UAH); marmot, marten - 6 thousand UAH (was 1500 UAH); swan - 4 thousand UAH (was 1 thousand UAH); shelduck, geese, chukar partridges, gray partridges, pheasants - 2 thousand UAH (was 500 UAH).
In addition, fees for destruction or damage to nests, burrows, beaver dams, and other animal dwellings have been increased 5-10 times.
