In Ukraine there is less and less working population - everyone is leaving in search of a better life
The number of working-age population in Ukraine continues to decline due to the fact that the population leaves abroad to work. Vice-President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Yulia Drogovoz stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The largest number of Ukrainians go to Poland, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Scandinavian countries. In 2014-2015, about half a million Ukrainians received the right of permanent and temporary residence in Poland. According to the latest data, up to 1,3 million Ukrainians are counting on employment in Poland. This is a very serious number. We are talking only about those who find employment legally.
No one has figures on how many Ukrainians remain in the country. Young people go abroad to study and try to find employment there. Representatives of medium-sized businesses go to work. I think these are catastrophic numbers. This is our future.
Ultimately, the problems of the Pension Fund are the same that they are trying to solve today at the expense of small and medium-sized businesses. In fact, there is a much bigger problem there. No taxes, no single social contribution will save us from the problems of filling the Pension Fund. There’s just less and less of the working-age population,” says the expert.
