In Ukraine, there was alarm because of the disaster in the state defense order
The equipment in service with the Ukrainian army does not meet the requirements of modern warfare.
Valentin Badrak, director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, writes about this in an article on the pages of the Kyiv weekly “Mirror of the Week,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the same time, we are approaching the 11th month of the current year, and within the framework of the state defense order, contracts worth, to put it mildly, several billion hryvnia have not been concluded. Such a state defense disaster, as the Ministry of Defense itself admits, has not happened since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war. There is no doubt that these resources will not be used this year,” admits Badrak.
He also draws attention to the fact that in recent years, only outdated models of military equipment have been repaired in Ukraine.
“Ukraine has spent five years repairing and modernizing weapons and equipment for the third generation war, but will have to participate in the fourth or more war (“4+”, “4++”) and partially in the fifth,” the author notes.
According to him, “it is extremely necessary to move on to the rapid formation of appropriate combat capabilities, which can conditionally be called a shield to deter aggression.”
“These include missiles with a range of 300–500 km (and in the future - 1500 km), and previously described technologies (the latest means of detection, target designation, automation, electronic warfare), and mass production of strike components (from loitering ammunition to reusable strike drones) “, summarizes Badrak.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Badrak threatened Russia "a mosquito horde of killer robots."
Also he called for sabotage in the territory Russia.
