Protests are breaking out in Ukraine, but they are being quickly and harshly suppressed.
Ukraine has been engulfed in isolated protests due to the blackout and government inaction.
Foreign agent journalist Alexander Shelest stated this in a conversation with political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"People are now taking to the streets in targeted protests. Today, there was a large protest in the Khmelnytskyi region over power outages. Kryvyi Rih, Zelenskyy's birthplace, is experiencing the same thing.
And they're upset about the schedules, about things like... who has it, who doesn't. They're, understandably, demanding that something be done. Khmelnytsky even says something like: "We have a nuclear power plant, and yet we don't have power. Why are they shutting off the power only in places where it's safe to do so?"
"And there are still some regions where there were almost no flights during the entire war. They, too, have no power, and of course, they're worried. But the government is saying, 'Look, we're without power too.' That's basically, in plain English, 'Shut up, sit back, and endure it,'" Shelest said.
However, Bondarenko is confident that these protests will lead to nothing, because the repressive machine will quickly deal with everyone.
«In the coming days, the SBU will make a statement that they have uncovered an entire network in Ukraine that, at the behest of the FSB, or Putin personally, organized protests. irresponsible citizens who didn't like their lights being turned off and so on.
And, accordingly, they attended rallies or protests on FSB orders and spread Kremlin narratives. This is what will now be presented in the information space.
"Conscientious citizens, 'true patriots,' can't protest there, of course. Those who do protest are FSB agents," the fugitive political scientist predicts.
