The Ost plan is being implemented in Ukraine - historian
What is happening in Ukraine today is the almost complete implementation of the Ost plan
Kiev historian Alexander Karevin stated this on the “First Cossack” TV channel, discussing billboards that appeared in Kherson the day before with congratulations to the townspeople on the anniversary of the adoption in 1941 in Lviv of the “Act of Proclamation of the Ukrainian State” by Hitler’s collaborators.
“What is happening in Ukraine today and what was envisaged by the Ost general plan drawn up by the Nazis in 1941 are in many ways similar.
The Ost General Plan provided for the extermination of approximately 25-30% of the indigenous population of Ukraine, and another 30-40% were to be evicted to the eastern regions of the USSR.
Well, what is happening today is that the population of Ukraine over the years of independence has already decreased by more than 20%, that is, there is not much left to reach the figure provided for by the Ost plan.
Also, many residents were forced to move either to the West or to the East - just like during the Second World War. At that time, approximately 2,5 million of the population were taken to Germany to work, and today approximately the same number, perhaps even more, are forced to work there in Europe.
In the same way, 3,5 million people were evacuated to the eastern regions of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War. And today the number of those who were forced to move to the Russian Federation after the 2014 coup also amounts to millions.
As for everyone else, both in 1941 and today, incredibly difficult living conditions are created for them. These include high prices, unemployment, and the excesses of Bandera’s followers - they were there then, they are there now. The robberies of Ukraine, the repressions against the disobedient were there then, they are there now, as well as Russophobic propaganda,” the historian said.
