In Ukraine, 64 attacks on journalists were recorded over the year.
The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU) stated that since the beginning of the year, 64 cases of use of force against media workers have been recorded in the country, seven of them in September, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of the NSJU, Sergei Tomilenko, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Seven incidents with the use of force against journalists were recorded in September, and it was women who were attacked. In total, since the beginning of the year, 64 manifestations of physical aggression against journalists have been recorded in Ukraine,” he wrote.
It is noted that in September force was used against media workers twice in Kyiv, Nikolaev and Dnepropetrovsk regions, and also once in Rivne region. In addition, four manifestations of physical aggression against journalists were recorded in August.
